Service Description

A specialised massage and treatment programme designed to safely and comfortably relieve pregnancy-associated discomforts for expectant mothers. This can include treatment of some common pregnancy issues including; Pain: Massage can help with back pain, pelvic girdle pain, sciatic nerve pain, and joint pain. Swelling: Massage can help reduce swelling in the feet and ankles. Sleep: Massage can help improve sleep. Please note, we will not accept appointments for expectant mothers in their first trimester. It is generally considered safe to massage after the first trimester of pregnancy. However, a doctor or midwife may advise against massage if there is a risk of preterm labour, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, or other complications. If you feel that this may be the case, please feel free to call Barry to discuss. If, after the appointment is booked it is decided that it would be best not to be massaged, a full refund will be given. Please note, this massage is designed to specifically target areas of uncomfort; rather than relaxation. Although it is also relaxing, if this is the primary reason for booking then this may not be the service for you.
